GENERAL MEETINGS
2011-2012 meetings are held at the Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church (UUC), 1500 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Social Hall on fourth Mondays at 11:30 a.m., including lunch and a program, with the exceptions that an evening pot luck meeting occurring on September 26 at 6 p.m. at UCC. In addition, evening meetings are at Lincoln's Sports Grille at 6 p.m. on fourth Mondays, October 31, March 26, and April 23. The December Holiday Tea occurs on December 11 from 3-5 p.m. at the United Church Chapel on the Hill, 85 Kentucky Avenue, Fellowship Hall. No general meetings are held during the months of November, December, June, July, and August.
PROJECTS
Four (4) major Branch projects fund scholarships for women at Roane State Community College and a locally-named grant to National Women's Post-Graduate Fellowships: 1. Fall Bulb Sales 2. White House Ornament Sales 3. Board-Provided April Luncheon for Scholarships 4. Annual Event for Scholarships. In addition, AAUW provides magazines and tutors to Girls, Inc., books for Women's History Month to Oak Ridge High School Media Center, and Women's History displays at the Oak Ridge Public Library. AAUW members may contribute to any of these projects and/or to the Branch operating expenses. Calendars and note cards are for sale to increase the Branch's operational income.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS/ANNUAL DUES
1. AAUW Members:
A person holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher
degree from a qualified educational institution, or a foreign degree
acceptable as a basis for admission by graduate schools at regionally
accredited universities of the U.S.A. shall be eligible for membership
in AAUW. Such membership shall be granted on presentation of proper
credentials and payment of all authorized dues to the Branch
Treasurer. Membership Dues: National $49; State $8; Local Branch $9 =
Total $66

Life Members:
a) Paid-Life Members: Any member of AAUW may become a Life Member
upon a one-time payment of twenty years' dues, based on the amount of
National dues the year that the member elects to become a Life Member.
Thereafter the Life Member shall be exempt from payment of AAUW dues.
Paid Life Members who are members of a Branch continue to pay State and
Branch dues. b) Fifty-Year Members: Any Branch member who has paid
National dues for fifty (50) years shall become a Life Member and shall
thereafter be exempt from payment of AAUW State and Branch dues.
3. Student Affiliates: An undergraduate student enrolled
in a regionally accredited educational institution shall be eligible
for student affiliation. Student Affiliates shall be entitled to attend
Branch, State, and AAUW meetings and receive the publications
distributed to all AAUW members. Student Affiliates may not vote nor
hold office. Student Affiliate Dues: National $17; State $0; Local
Branch $1 = $18
